Private William H. Riley

The background of this North Irish Horseman is not known at present, other than than he was probably from England.

William H. Riley enlisted in the Hussars of the Line around October 1916 (No.32436). Posted to the North Irish Horse, he trained at the regimental reserve camp at Antrim before embarking for France in 1917 or 1918. Nothing more has been discovered about his military service during the war.

On 26 February 1919 he was demobilised and transferred to Class Z, Army Reserve.
